‘Blue Note’
KnK Contemporary invites artists working in all mediums to submit work for “Blue Note,” an upcoming group exhibition exploring the emotional, symbolic, and sensory impact of the color blue. From the melancholy of a ballad to the boldness of ultramarine, this show welcomes diverse interpretations of a single chromatic thread.
There are no size or subject matter restrictions—just one rule: blue must be central. Whether it's the dominant pigment, a conceptual anchor, or an emotional undertone, we’re looking for work that uses the color blue with purpose and presence.
We encourage submissions from artists at all career stages. This is a curated, in-gallery exhibition at KnK Contemporary, a woman-owned, artist-run space located in San Francisco’s Polk Gulch district.
Deadline: April 27th , Sunday at Midnight
Will be notified on April 29th, Tuesday about your submission.
All artists that have been selected will have to sign a gallery contract, which will be emailed with your acceptance email.

Opening Reception: May 9th Friday, 6-9pm.
Blue Note exhibition dates: May 9th, Friday to June 8th, Sunday
Artwork pick up: June 9th, Monday & June 10th, Tuesday
You may submit 3 pieces for review.
No size restrictions
All work must be framed and hang ready.
All mediums welcomed.
If not hang ready at drop off then your work will be denied.
You must label image files to be considered (yourname. artworktitle. price. size)
